Inspiration

http://www.gratefulness.org/index.htm

Network for Grateful Living provides education and support for the practice of grateful living as a global ethic, based on the teachings of Br. David Steindl-Rast and colleagues. Gratefulness - the full response to a given moment and all it contains – is a universal spiritual practice that inspires personal transformation, cross-cultural understanding, interfaith dialogue, intergenerational respect, nonviolent conflict resolution, and ecological sustainability.

http://being.publicradio.org/about/

On Being is a spacious conversation — and an evolving media space — about the big questions at the center of human life, from the boldest new science of the human brain to the most ancient traditions of the human spirit. The program began as an occasional series on Minnesota Public Radio in 1999, then became a monthly national program in September 2001, and launched as a weekly program titled Speaking of Faith in the summer of 2003.

The greatest privilege of a human life is to become midwife to birth of soul. John O'Donohue

When is the last time that you had a great conversation, a conversation which wasn't just two intersecting monologues, which is what passes for conversation a lot in this culture. But when had you last a great conversation, in which you over heard yourself saying things that you never knew you knew. That you heard yourself receiving from somebody words that absolutely found places within you that you thought you had lost and a sense of an event of a conversation that brought the two of you on to a different plane. And then fourthly, a conversation that continued to sing in your mind for weeks afterwards, you know? And I've - I've had some of them recently, and it's just absolutely amazing, like, as we would say at home, they are food and drink for the soul, you know? John O'Donohue
